Keli and Nicole escape to Spokane to see each other FACE TO FACE for the first time in around fifteen years. There was much laughing and crying and laughing till they cried. This episode is a recap of the weekend, a giant thank you to everyone that is along for this journey and just an all-around fun time. This is a horrible recap of the show, but words just can't sum it up. so listen and enjoy!

Taking Back Control
Tuesday May 12, 2020
Tuesday May 12, 2020
Nicole and Keli spend some time lamenting the disaster that is almost always Mother's Day. It's a tragic comedy, and deserved a few minutes of ranting.
The ladies also discussed how each of them are feeling a need to take back some control in their families, but in very different ways. This is one of those episodes that the conversation just evolves into a heartfelt exchange of encouragement and lovingly challenging one another.

Bonus Episode: Mother's Day with our girls
Saturday May 09, 2020
Saturday May 09, 2020
In this special Mother's Day Bonus Episode Nicole and I spend some time chatting with our girls and forcing them to say nice things to us. Since the girls haven't seen each other since they were tiny, they spend some time catching up and talking about their common interest in sports and making fun of their mothers' dance moves. Then Nicole and I ask them questions about how they feel about us doing the podcast, what they love most about us (Hey! We have to take the compliments however we can get them!) and we return a few compliments to them as well. This was our gift to ourselves this mother's day, but we wanted to share it with you.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas! We love you!

(Keli here)
This episode is my favorite. After I finished editing I told Jim, I don't care if anyone else likes it at all, this one is a gift to me. It's my Mother's Day gift to myself.
Nicole and I spend over an hour talking to her mom, Peggy, about becoming a mom to seven kids! Her motherhood journey began with years of infertility, which she discusses ultimately helped her get through the tough days of motherhood. The gratitude that comes from having miracle babies is a love that carries you through the hard stuff. When I asked Peggy if she (and her husband Ray) would be comfortable with the personal details being aired, she said "If it helps even one person who is struggling to have kids then we don't care!"
I want to try to give an overview of everything we discussed, but there's just so much GOOD STUFF, I can't. Every sentence is a gold nugget wrapped up in a package of hilarious laughter.
Peggy recounts hilarious stories of Nicole and I, and memories of family trips and fun times together. She sings her version of "From the Window to the Wall" and you don't want to miss it; I'm laughing as I type this just remembering all of the hilarious stuff!
This woman is up there with Betty White as a National Treasure in my book, and I can't wait for you to hear everything she has to offer. She ends the episode with a special Mother's Day message to Nicole and I, and I've been replaying it and crying ever since we recorded. Make sure you listen to the very end of the show.
Happy Mother's Day, Mamas. WE ARE ROCKSTARS!

How Personality Types Affect Family Dynamics
Tuesday Apr 28, 2020
Tuesday Apr 28, 2020
There's a lot of talk about the Enneagram, and other different tools for evaluating our personality types, and how that plays a part in who we are in our world. Nicole and Keli chat with a guest, Nicole Allen (Nic for the purposes of keeping it straight on the show,) about her understanding of the Enneagram. They pick her brain about how the concept of personality type exploration can play a role in family dynamics and harmony. HELLO FAMILY HARMONY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THE PAST TWO MONTHS?! Sorry...I got carried away.
Nic has a kind and passionate understanding of the Enneagram specifically, and has a fun approach of making it real to people like us who just want to get along with our kids and husbands. Keli's journey of self-discovery has begun to find healing and understanding of herself by using this tool, and Nicole is just tip-toeing into the idea.
Even if you have zero shits to give about Enneagram, personality types, or the general concept, this episode is still full of other subjects too.

BONUS: Crossover with The Lotus Bloom Podcast - Intro to the Enneagram
Saturday Apr 25, 2020
Saturday Apr 25, 2020
Episode 13 in season one is a fun look into the part the Enneagram plays in families, relationships and even how Keli and Nicole communicate and host this show. This Crossover Episode with the Lotus Bloom Podcast is a precursor to that episode, where special "Crossover Guest" Nicole Allen gives a brief rundown on what the Enneagram is (NOT another damn personality test) and what the different types are. If you have any remote interest in what makes you "tick" as a person, this is a very interesting tool.
In this episode Nicole Allen, Morgan Wylie (Lotus Bloom Podcast) and Keli Budinich (Everything’s Not Fine Podcast) learn from Nicole a basic overview of what the Enneagram is and how it applies to us as individuals and as humans coexisting together.
Nicole has such a great perspective on each of the 9 Enneagram numbers as well as fun examples from real life situations! Keli and Morgan learn more about our individual numbers and how we each see the world through different lenses (insert fun and laughter). Join us as we chat about all things Enneagram (well the condensed version at least).

This episode is a doozy! Talk about a long one, Sheesh! We had a lot to discuss and didn't want to hold anything back. Keli and Nicole kick things off with the usual weekly check in and had a lot of catching up to do. Then they engage in a transparent discussion about the Budinich family's experiences in having a child with special needs. April is Autism Awareness (we prefer Autism Acceptance) month, and we wanted to give our listeners a look inside a family exploring diagnosis, therapy, medication and living with Autism, specifically Aspergers.

Love, Marriage and Sex...keeping it real during a pandemic
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Keli and Nicole dive in head first in this episode, talking about how their marriages are surviving life during COVID, especially in regards to intimacy and sex.
As usual, they spend some time checking on our their week, how the kids are doing, whose driving who most crazy and then transition into the topic for this episode. There's plenty of non-sexy time listening before they move into the more private conversation, so there's something for everyone.

"I want you to make me a promise. Promise that the next time you feel shame as a mom, you will tell your closest mom friend so that you can be reminded that we all feel shame and fear and anxiety, that there is no perfect, and that you are a beautiful example of motherhood in all of your vulnerability and strength." -- Jackie Shoemaker Holmes @eatingheryoung
If you're wondering what it looks like to run out of sanity, patience and grace during Coronavirus quarantine, today's show will break it all down for you. Moms trying to hold it all together for their families run out of whatever it is that holds things together.
Keli discusses her breakdown, the necessity of having someone who can pull you out of your shame spiral and how Nicole was the saving grace that got her through one of the hardest days of motherhood in recent memory.
Strengthening the bonds of friendship in the midst of chaos and uncertainty is a gift. Listen as the ladies discuss how that's happening in their lives right now.

Tuesday Mar 31, 2020
As usual, Keli and Nicole spend some time catching up on their week, how they're doing and what's going on in the world of kids and family during quarantine.
They also discuss what they're doing to stay busy and distract themselves when they need a break from the news and Coronavirus. Important topics include the Tiger King, Glennon Doyle and Keli introduces Nicole to the QUEEN of EVERYTHING, Brene Brown.
The ladies then dive into what their faith looks like in this time. Nicole is a Christian who (before quarantine) would be attending church with her family and talks about how she is drawing on that faith during hard times, and Keli discusses how she stopped practicing traditional religion/Christianity and what her faith now looks like.
Covid19 has forced all of us to dig deep to find our best selves to get through this time, and these ladies lay it all out there about how that's going.
**Stick around after the show for a few minutes of outtakes.**
